ZeroNorth appoints Anders Mayntzhusen as new Chief Revenue Officer to support ambitious growth plans

New hire from customer service tech company Dixa to drive scaling up of ZeroNorth and Optimise software in maritime

Anders Press Release

Maritime technology company ZeroNorth has appointed Anders Mayntzhusen as its new Chief Revenue Officer, the company announced today.

Anders joins ZeroNorth from the Danish-founded customer service tech company Dixa, where he was Chief Commercial Officer. The appointment is a clear indication of ZeroNorth’s huge growth ambitions as a technology company within the maritime sector. Under his guidance, Anders will help to position the organisation on a similar trajectory to other tech start-ups, targeting exponential year-on-year growth metrics over the next four years.

Anders plans to shape how ZeroNorth can achieve its growth goals by creating a systematic plan across talent acquisition, marketing, sales, customer success and professional services. He will also pioneer exploring how the organisation can broaden its offering within and beyond Optimise to support more shipowners on their journey to decarbonisation.

The move to recruit Anders from another leading Nordic technology company also speaks to ZeroNorth’s plans to lead in Denmark’s fast-growing and innovative tech sector.

Speaking on his appointment, Anders Mayntzhusen, Chief Revenue Officer, ZeroNorth, said:

"I am extremely excited to start working for ZeroNorth, which might be Europe’s most promising hyper-growth B2B tech company. Given the urgency to decarbonise and digitalise shipping, ZeroNorth has one of the strongest value propositions I have ever seen. With Maersk Tankers and Cargill as investors and a strong board of directors and management team, there is every opportunity for ZeroNorth to become the market leader by 2022. Taking up this role is therefore an obvious next step for my career.

“To achieve these goals, ZeroNorth needs to pioneer a unique go-to-market strategy for maritime that involves focusing on sales and customer success excellence, as well as establishing additional revenue streams and attracting the right talent. I am ready to get started and play my part alongside the rest of the team at ZeroNorth to make this ambition a reality.”

In his previous role at Dixa, Anders was responsible for scaling and leading the organisation’s sales, marketing and customer success departments. Anders joined Dixa at an early stage as the company’s fifth employee, and supported its growth to becoming a multi-million dollar start-up. He helped the company to close a $14m Series A investment round in 2019, and a $36m Series B investment round a year later in 2020.

Søren Meyer, CEO, ZeroNorth, added: “Scaling our organisation is a central aim for ZeroNorth. After more than a year of successful operation as an independent company, the time is right to accelerate this even further, and the appointment of Anders Mayntzhusen as our Chief Revenue Officer is fully aligned with our goals.

“Attracting the right people and leaders is what will enable us to digitalise shipping for the climate. Together, we will be able to achieve exponential results and unlock cost and emissions savings through technology for more shipowners and operators. We are all excited to begin working with Anders to shape our collective vision for how we approach the market, as well as reach across industries to build maritime’s most exciting tech company.”
