ZeroNorth appoints new CEO to lead next phase of growth

ZeroNorth, a recognised pioneer in maritime digital transformation, announces a leadership transition as it prepares for its next phase of development and profitable growth. 

Since its founding about five years ago, ZeroNorth has rapidly established itself as an industry frontrunner, servicing 6,000 vessels, with a global presence with offices in six locations, and a talented workforce of 550 people. Under the visionary leadership of Soren Meyer, ZeroNorth has grown from an ambitious idea to a market leader, driving innovation and inspiring both customers and the organisation to embrace its mission. 

As ZeroNorth enters a new stage of growth, the Board of Directors, in collaboration with Soren Meyer, has determined that the company’s evolving focus requires a new CEO profile. Accordingly, Soren Meyer will step down as CEO, and the Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Soren Andersen, a distinguished executive with a proven record of scaling maritime software and service companies as well as 25 years of experience from the shipping industry.

Soren Andersen joins ZeroNorth following successful tenures as CEO of Unimed Maritime Solutions and StormGeo, both scale-up companies, with StormGeo being a maritime software and service company like ZeroNorth. At StormGeo, Soren Andersen secured profitable growth and established himself as a leader renowned for developing organisations and delivering results through his teams. His deep sector expertise, combined with hands-on experience in fleet management and implementing fleet-wide fuel and CO2 reduction initiatives, positions him ideally to guide ZeroNorth through its next chapter.
