Passionate about shipping and data? Being in the center of the clients, providing recommendations, acting as an expert and at the same time crunch numbers and make models? Come join our journey and help reduce CO2 emissions?

At ZeroNorth, we build software that turns complex data into actionable insights. We were founded by Maersk Tankers to change the shipping industry through digitalization. We strive to help our customers optimize their business while reducing CO2 emissions. This is what empowers us.

In this role you will be the subject matter expert in ZeroNorth and lead customer communication and relations when it comes to fuel tables, vessel performance and optimization. You will

work closely with many different stakeholders – customers, partners, tech, sales, marketing and more

actively contribute to fuel model/table related projects

analyze data and help build internal and customer facing dashboards

Who are we looking for?

We expect you to thrive on being the first point of contact when it comes to details on vessel performance and fuel tables, and we imagine that you have a degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, MSc or related field, but most important is relevant experience.

We are looking for experience and expertise in building fuel models and analyzing vessel performance, and in depth knowledge of data capture, modeling, creation of reports and supporting customers. We expect you to be an expert in fuel models to such an extent that you could build your own custom fuel tables. Additionally, we are looking for experience in vessel routing software and data structures.

We expect you to be familiar with data analysis and as such have hands-on experience with programming in Python, R, Matlab or similar analytical/mathematical languages, but programming experience in other languages such as Java is also highly appreciated. While not mandatory, any experience with advanced statistical models, machine learning or deep learning is an advantage.

We are ambitious and passionate with a strong “Can Do” attitude. We work in a dynamic and informal space with everything that you could dream of, such as access to fitness, table tennis, food, games, fantastic coffee and amazing people. We love what we do - creating apps and services that help scale and optimize everyday challenges. While doing this, we save costs and provide a serious reduction worldwide in CO2 emissions.
